True v.s. False














There are two types of Metal. True Metal (Manowar, early Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer) and False Metal (Bon Jovi, Poison, KoRn, Linkin Park, Winger). True Metal is usually cliched and stereotypical and sounds VERY metal. False Metal can be FANTASTIC, but it won't be Metal. Why? Because it dosen't SOUND like Metal. Black Sabbath is Metal. Dethklok is Metal. GWAR are very Metal. Metallica were Metal until Load. Marilyn Manson is NOT Metal, even though he acts a lot like one when he isn't acting like David Bowie. Any band that isn't Dio or Ozzy that uses keyboards are not metal. Ministry is half and half. The people who are the best at it are Beavis and Butthead. They know Winger is not Metal. They know Judas Priest are Metal. They know Ministry are half and half (this is also the case for Danzig). Heh heh... Beavis and Butthead are cool.

Hello I'm back from waiting for NC to turn blue (which seemed like it took about a month). But know that I don't have to watch boring reports, I can get back to important things. Like Rock. And if I'm gonna talk about rock, why not talk about Shock Rock? Started by Screaming Jay Hawkins, The Doors, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Alice Cooper came and took it to the TOP!!!! (He even had a #1 single, 'School's Out') KISS followed in Alice's footsteps and inspired everyone to put on kabuki makeup and play bad air-guitar to 'Love Gun.' Even punk rockers came and did it. In the '80s, we had Motley Crue and W.A.S.P. who lit their pants on fire and threw meat into the audience. Then for outer space the Scumdogs of the Universe got into the act. Of course we are talking about GWAR!!!!!! Then we had Marilyn Manson and the not-as-cool-as-GWAR-but-still-cool Lordi. That would be the history of Shock Rock. Time for a Top 5 countdown!
